Fake .PFD Spoofing Email in Circulation

There is currently a fake PDF spoofing email in circulation.  DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK

  1. It is not a .PDF file it’s an image with a link

  2. There is no ‘paperclip sign’ next to the mail (denoting an attached file)

  3. The down arrow on the fake .PDF file does not work (as it is an image not a file)

  4. If you click on this, you will be routed to a fake web page – its intention is to get you to input your username and password so your account can be hacked, it also may install a malicious script or malware on your machine

  5. Be wary, it may come from one of your own contacts or friends who have already been hacked

If you have clicked on the link do a full virus and malware scan and check your email settings for any suspicious rules/redirects that may have been put in place in your settings.
And finally, change your password immediately.
